Aga Muhlach
Biography

Right from the days of his youth, he was seen as one of the purest personifications
of the words “handsome” and “charming”. His acting career
has been said to be as clean and crystal clear as it can ever without any scratches
or blemishes at all. As the epitome of what a Filipino actor should be, he has
been one of the major figureheads of the showbiz industry in the country for decades.
Even up to now, he is known as one of the mainstays of the Filipino show business
and a truly recognizable face to the Filipino masses.

Aga Muhlach is a Filipino actor who has enjoyed considerable success in television
and in movies throughout his career. He was born on August 12, 1969 as Ariel Aquino
Muhlach to Alvaro “Cheng” Muhlach and Anita Aquino. He has two sisters,
Arlene and Almira, and a brother, Albert. He is the husband of Charlene Gonzales,
a cousin of Niño Muhlach and Liezel Martinez, and the son-in-law of Bernard
Bonnin. He stands 5 feet and 7 inches and his zodiac sign is Leo.

He credits his film career to his cousin, fellow actor Niño Muhlach,
whose film production company, D’Wonder Films, helped to start Aga’s
acting career. At first, he acted in some films that built him up, and then,
his popularity skyrocketed virtually overnight with his acting role in the film
“Bagets,” where his acting ability and his good looks came into play
and attracted the audience more to him.

Soon after that, he became a reputable actor who was dramatically versatile
and he got into movie after movie, and was also taking roles in television shows
and endorsing different products in advertisements, the most memorable of which
is that of Jollibee. His status as a good leading man and a heartthrob seems
to have really helped him in becoming one of the most popular and highest paid
actors in the country as he continues to take roles in movies, mainly of romantic
genres, as well as several television series, most of which he starred in.

He now has three children: the eldest one, Angelo Luigi Miguel, whose mother
is actress Janice de Belen, as well as fraternal twins, Atasha Aaron and Antonio
Andres, who he had with his wife. He married Charlene Gonzales, former Binibining
Pilipinas Universe winner, in 2001, with whom he starred in the TV sitcom “Oki
Doki Doc.” He had dated and been romantically linked with former Miss Universe,
Dayanara Torres, before when she was in the Philippines, who had since left
and got both married to and divorced from singer Marc Anthony. He had also once
dated singer Pops Fernandez a long time ago, who had since been married to and
now separated from fellow singer, Martin Nievera.

He now owns Morning Star Productions, a film production company that has produced
most of his earlier films. He is also continuing to be active in his acting
career, recently starring in the TV sitcom “That’s My Doc” on
ABS-CBN 2.
