Francine PrietoBiography
Not a lot of people know that Francine Prieto has been in the business for more
than 20 years. But as they say, its not only beauty, brains, and talent
that can get you the most coveted crown. You need to spice things up a bit with
patience, determination and some luck.
Francine Prieto was born Anna Marie Falcon on September 19, 1982. She is of Norwegian-Filipino
descent. She failed to see her real father who left them even before she was born.
The buxom lady started out in show business at a very young age of 3. She was
first cast as the young version of Narda in one of the movie versions of Darna.
In TV, she was Criselda, a tearjerker shown in ABC 5. She was only 10 years old.
But stardom was aloof. So she tried again, joining the very popular youth-oriented
show Thats Entertainment and went into modeling where she met Larry Espinosa.
It was this same man who prodded her to make good of her 5'6" frame to good
use. Thus, she joined the Elite Model Look when she was 13 years old. She also
ventured into beauty pageants, even landing as one of the final 12 of Binibining
Pilipinas in 2002.
These things, however, only made her known to men who love to ogle at her curves.
It was at that time of her desperation that she opted to take the route commonly
trudged by other entertainment aspirants: sexy roles.
The movie Liberated came when Francine badly needed to do something with her
career. She wasnt active in modeling anymore. And indeed, her move turned
her life 360 degrees. Besides baring everything, she also had to change her
name. She also attended a sensuality workshop, the objective of which was to
remove her qualms in going naked and doing steamy scenes with her co-star Christian
Vasquez. Fortunately, the movie was an instant hit, and one film led to another.
Her biggest break so far was Bridal Shower, where she was pitted against veteran
actresses such as Dina Bonnevie and Cherry Pie Picache. In the movie, she was
able to prove that she doesnt only have a come-hither body and flawless
skin but comic skills, which she was also able to bring to TV in her situational
comedy entitled Bahay Mo Ba To.
Stardom and TV and film exposure also transformed Francine into one of the
hottest and sexiest product endorser in the Philippines. For one, shes
the image model of Bench Body, after Douglas Quijano, a successful talent manager,
recommended her to the companys owner Ben Chan. She graced traffic-stopping
billboards and centerfolds of various glossy magazines.
Francine Prieto never stopped being an apple of the eye among Philippine men.
She was so in demand that she became a cover girl of FHM twice. Its no
wonder too that she belongs among top sexy females all over the country.
Despite the successes, however, Francine has remained the same. Shes
still the frank but simple girl who values work and the people surrounding her.
She looked up to her stepdad and admired him so much. Its these virtues
that will make her name stay afloat in the entertainment industry.
