Roxanne Guinoo: Sexiness, Charm, and Talent Combined
There’s more to looks than meets the eye. The same can be said for the beautiful
and sensual Roxanne Guinoo.
Roxanne Guinoo grew up in Rosario, Cavite. She was born on February 14, 1986,
to Ana Bosch and Bernardo Guinoo. She was living a simple life back there, finishing
her elementary studies in Saint Joseph College and high school in Atheneum Amcan
School. In 2003, she took up her Psychology studies in De La Salle University
in Dasmariñas, Cavite.
Roxanne is known to be the youngest among 4 girls. Because of this, she was
often under strict disciplinary measures implemented by her parents as well
as her older sisters. She wasn’t allowed to go out for dates or to travel
alone. Moreover, all her phone calls were properly screened. All these, though,
didn’t stop her in pursuing her life-long dream: to become an actress.
In 2004, she auditioned for Star Circle Quest, a reality-based talent competition,
in SM Bicutan, with her sister in tow. Luckily, because of her charm and wittiness
she became one of the contestants, also known as Questors.
All Questors at that time would have to undergo physical enhancement as well
as talent training. They also need to accomplish successfully different weekly
tasks that are all based on talents. It was during the competition that Roxanne
transformed from being a typical probinsyana who was shy and aloof to a blossoming
character actress. She was even hailed for her dramatic prowess and her striking
looks that reminded you of Charlene Gonzales, and was predicted to become one
of the bankable leading ladies by Laurenti Dyogi, one of premiere Philippine
directors and one of the judges. Aside from this, she also had a similarly huge
fan base, which altogether made her one of the top 5 finalists. Sadly, she was
only hailed second runner-up.
After the competition, Roxanne, along with the other SCQ finalists, completed
the cast for SCQ Reload, where she played the role of Roxanne Roxas. She also
appeared in Gulong ng Palad, alongside Kristine Hermosa and TJ Trinidad , playing
Josefina or Jojo, a tomboy. She also co-hosted At Home Ka Dito, a lifestyle
program. Recently, you could catch her in Wowowee, a very popular game show
hosted by Willie Revillame . Due to her tight schedule, however, she was momentarily
removed from the show.
Roxanne Guinoo is also known for her sexiness. She graced numerous men’s
magazine such as Maxim in March 2007. She also bagged the third spot during
a poll among top sexiest women celebrities in the Philippines. Every men ogled
at her as she donned on a flashing red bikini and riding a horse in her recent
White Castle Whiskey commercial.
Joross Gamboa, her loveteam since SCQ days, became her boyfriend, and they
stuck together for over a year. Her latest rumored boyfriend today is Jake Cuenca
, 1/6 of ASAP Mania’s Coverboys and ultimate hunk. Surprisingly, the three
of them played central characters in Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos, a sineserye (movie
adaptation) that’s sitting pretty well in TV ratings.
