Pepe upon the order of his father did not want anything to do with boxing, after all it was boxing which took his brother's life.

But the easy money in the sport attracted him and he was desperate to pay a long-standing debt he incurred for the medical treatment of his father.

So he agrees to a match without his father's knowledge.

Little did he know that the match was just the beginning of a series of tests not just to his body but also his character and relationship as well.
