.::Guisadong Sitao (Sauteed String Beans)::..

4 Servings

INGREDIENTS:

2 tablespoons vegetable or corn oil 2 tablespoons minced garlic
1/2 cup chopped onion 2 ripe tomatoes, cubed
1/2 cup pork, boiled and cut in thin strips 1/2 cup shelled and deveined shrimp

salt or patis and freshly ground pepper to taste 1/2 pound string beans, cut crosswise
into 2-inch pieces

Heat oil and saute garlic until light brown and onion until transparent. Add tomatoes and
cook until soft. Stir in pork and shrimp. Add patis or salt and pepper and bring to a boil,
stirring occasionally. Add string beans. Cook until beans are crisp-tender. Serve hot.
